This combined role blends the duties of a front desk officer with those of an admissions counselor. Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities:
Front Desk Officer:
Reception: Greet visitors, answer phones, and direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
Administrative Tasks: Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and handle basic office administration duties.
Security and Maintenance: Maintain a professional and secure office environment.
Communication: Clearly and efficiently communicate with visitors, faculty, and staff.
Admissions Counselor:
Recruitment: Attend educational fairs and events to promote the institution.
Inquiry Response: Answer questions from prospective students and their families about admissions, programs, and campus life.
Application Processing: Review and process student applications, ensuring completeness.
Student Interviews: Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their qualifications and suitability for the institution.
Campus Tours: Lead tours of the campus facilities and introduce prospective students to the academic environment.
Yield Management: Encourage admitted students to enroll by following up with them and addressing any concerns.
Combined Responsibilities:
Knowledge of Institution: Possess a deep understanding of the institution’s academic programs, student life, and admissions process.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effectively communicate with a diverse range of people, both verbally and in writing.
Organization and Time Management: Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving Skills: Address visitor inquiries and student concerns effectively.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using office software and student information systems.
This role requires an individual who can seamlessly switch between providing excellent customer service at the front desk and acting as a knowledgeable resource for prospective students. Some other conditions are as following:
- Education: Minimum Graduate from a University. Higher Education preferred.
- Work Experience: Minimum 1 years in a similar role.
- Language Skills: Fluent in Written and Spoken English and Urdu
- Tech Skills: Expertise in Word Document, Excel Data Sheets, Powerpoint Presenations, Email and Social Media Use.
- Faster Typing Speed will be a Plus.
- City: Preferrabley Resident of nearby areas of Old Airport Rawalpindi.
